Programs in Cusco

CHOQUEQUIRAO / 5 DAYS AND 4 NIGHTS

DAY 1: CUSCO - CACHORA- CHIQUISCA. Trip in a 4 wheel drive van from Cusco passing by the towns of Izcuchaca, Limatambo ( arqueological monument of Tarawasi). Bridge of Kunyac, the "Saywiti Pass" , then we get in and have breakfast in Cachora, after the breakfast we begin to climb up to big Wayna Qalli (observatory) where we can appreciate a part of the arqueological ruins of Choquek'irao, also an awesome view of the snow capped mountains of Vilcabamba, then we go down to Capuliyuc (lunch), Cuca Masana where the flora and fauna starts to change, still arrive to the Chiquisca place of our campsite and dinner.

DAY 2: CHIQUISCA - ROSALINA - SANTA ROSA- MARAMPATA. After the breakfast we go to Santa Rosa, ( distillery of alcohol of local sugar cane), this day is considered like the hardest because the height of our way through the mountains in the cusquenian side with direction to Marampata you can look Orchids and Violets, if we are lucky we could appreciate fauna like deer, ant bears and a diversity of birds and insects. Lunch is in Santa Rosa, and going with direction to Marampata, place of our campsite and dinner.

DAY 3: MARAMPATA - CHOQUEQUIRAO. Alter the breakfast, we continue with direction to Raqaypata where you can appreciate an infinity of Orchids most of them are appreciated in the banks of the river Chunchullmayo, after like an hour of walking we will arrive to Choquequirao where we will camp and we could visit the arqueological ruins in its 8 sectors : between farms, qolqas, recints, adoratories and andenes. we will have all day for visit the ruins

DAY 4: CHOQUEQUIRAO - SANTA ROSA - CHIQUISCA. Early in the morning after the breakfast we descent to Santa Rosa where we will stop to have lunch. then continue to Chiquisca. over night in campsite.

DAY 5: CHIQUISCA - CACHORA - CUSCO. The fourth and last day of adventure starts in Chiquisca, after the breakfast we will go up to the big observatory of Wayna Qalli where we will get lunch and where we can appreciate the canyon that formers the Apurímac river, considered the most spectacular in south America. Arriving to Cachora where a car is waiting for us, this car will take us to Cusco.
