VIRGEN DEL CARMEN IN PAUCARTAMBO FESTIVITY 2 DAYS AND 1 NIGHT

The feast of the Virgen del Carmen is the most important in Paucartambo and one of the best opportunities to enjoy the festive ambiance of Cusco.

In this festival multitudes come out to see the procession of the Virgen, accompanied by many musical ensembles and masked dancers. For this occasion many communities at higher altitudes, under the leadership of their Varayoq or Mayors, descend to Paucartambo to honor the Virgen.
