Day 1. Condor Viewpoint – Chonta

  • The tour starts at 7 am with the pick-up from your hotel
  • Guided visit to the Archaeological Center of Killarumiyoq

  • We will start the 1 hour and 30-minute walk to the “Viewpoint of Chonta” of 3 km

COMPLETE ITINERARY

Day 1: Condor Viewpoint – Chonta

We will begin our tour at 7 am leaving your hotel to go to the first archaeological complex of Killarumiyuq, where we will tour the main sites of the place, which was carved in live rock for the purpose of worshiping one of the most important deities “Mama Killa” or Mother Moon. The paved road is to the town of Limatambo, continuing with our trip we will take the affirmed road branch, observing the sacred mountains and the valley of Limatambo.

At approximately noon, we will arrive at the town of Chonta at 3,400 masl where we will have a delicious lunch. The three-kilometer walk takes us about an hour and a half, along a picturesque path towards the viewpoint of the Condor Canyon where you can see the impressive natural beauty of the Apurimac River canyon and ready to achieve the first photographic shot of the flight of the Condors and where we will stay for about two hours to continue enjoying their different movements and pirouettes. Then, we will return to the town of Chonta to take our mobility to Cusco, arriving at approximately 7 pm.
